Volunteers Needed!

The Hawaii State Department of Health is looking for volunteers to participate in a preparedness exercise. This exercise is designed to help us test our response plans to ensure we can effectively respond to public health incidents.

During this exercise we will simulate our ability to rapidly dispense medication to large numbers of people. To make this exercise as real as possible, we need about 500 volunteers to play the role of the general public coming to a dispensing site to pickup medication for their family and others.

  • The exercise will take place at the Univeristy of Hawaii at Manoa - Campus Center Ballroom on June 25, 2009.
  • Volunteers will be expected to arrive at 9:15 AM to sign-in and receive instructions.
  • At noon all volunteers will receive a complimentary lunch.
